Retrospective in The Aiken Standard

Tice in the Aiken StandardEven though we’ve been knee-deep in our upcoming Southern Gothic project, there’s always more than one thing going on around here at New Lit Salon Press. The Aiken Standard just did a story on our previous project, Michael Tice’s Retrospective art book. Tice and Jordan Scoggins (our Creative Director) sat down with Stephanie Turner to talk to her about the book and Michael’s overall career.

Be sure to check out the article.

Also, in an unofficial review earlier this year, artist William Wiley–a long time inspiration for Tice–said of Retrospective:

“What a beautiful book … Exotic and rich Colors and Forms… And the Mystery of it all.”

The mystery of it all, indeed! That’s exactly why we do what we do here at NLSP.

Don’t forget to download a copy of Retrosepctive from iBooks and order the print edition from Blurb.

For those of you who visit your local library (and if you don’t, you should!), please ask them to carry the book. Retrospective is currently held by the Museum of Modern Art library and the Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art.
